1. Scope

This policy describes how the DropHere app (“丢这儿”) handles information related to you. By using the app, you acknowledge this policy. Chinese version: https://drophere.mlxb.cc/agreement/zh/privacy

3. Information we handle

DropHere helps you organize credentials, contracts, receipts, and similar materials on your iPhone. This may include:

• Titles, text, images, files, and attachment file names you add
• Document types, list order, reminder dates and settings
• Preferences such as appearance, App Lock, system backup, and iCloud sync
• Purchase-related information processed by Apple for Full access (we do not run a separate app account system)

We do not require an in-app registration account, and we do not upload your library content to our servers for analytics.

4. Where information is stored

• Default: The library stays in the on-device app container as a private working copy. It is not a substitute for keeping your own originals.
• System backup (optional): Off by default. If you enable “Allow system backup of library” in Settings, library data may be included in iPhone iCloud Backup or computer backups, under your Apple ID and device encryption. Turning it off excludes the library from future backups; the app cannot erase historical backup copies already stored by the system.
• iCloud sync (optional): Off by default. If enabled, active and trashed items, attachments, reminders, ordering, and the type catalog may sync via your Apple ID’s private CloudKit database across devices signed into the same account, and count against your iCloud storage. Turning sync off stops further traffic; it does not automatically delete existing cloud copies.
• Nearby device migration: You start a one-way transfer between two devices that have the app installed, over a local peer connection. It does not go through our cloud servers.

Deleting the app removes data in the app container. Whether copies remain in system backups or iCloud depends on your settings and Apple’s services.

5. System permissions

Requested only when needed:

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings; related features will stop or degrade.

6. Full access purchase

Full access is a one-time In-App Purchase that removes the app’s free-tier cap on active items. It does not promise unlimited storage or performance. Purchase, receipts, and restore are handled by Apple and tied to your Apple ID. Use Restore Purchases after reinstall or a new device. Family Sharing follows the App Store product configuration.

7. What we do not do

• No custom analytics SDK that uploads your document contents
• No sale of your library to advertisers
• No upload of your library to our servers unless you enable features that use Apple iCloud (sync/backup as described)
• No App Tracking Transparency request for cross-app advertising tracking

If you share diagnostics with Apple through system settings, Apple’s policies apply.

8. Security

We rely on platform storage and, when you enable them, Apple backup/iCloud. App Lock reduces casual viewing of the app UI; it does not cover a compromised device, an unlocked device without App Lock, content you share yourself, or access on other devices under the same Apple ID after you enable sync or restore from backup.

9. Children

The app is for general personal document organization, not directed at children. Guardians should not let children store sensitive IDs unsupervised.

10. Changes

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes. Material changes may also be noted in the app or App Store release notes. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
